The Laramie Soup Kitchen, a trusted and financially stable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1983 acquired a full city block in April 2025, securing the ideal location for an ambitious expansion. This new site will allow for the construction of a significantly larger facility, featuring triple the dining capacity, a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen, a dedicated warehouse, offices, and so much more.

 

Beyond its core services, the Soup Kitchen envisions the new building as a collaborative nonprofit hub. Ideas include space for a food pantry, a diaper & hygiene pantry, a teaching kitchen for cooking classes, and a sliding-fee coffee shop that will provide meaningful work for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

 

The need for nutritious meals and essential services is greater than ever, and this new hub represents a powerful solution. Financial support right now is an investment in this vision, a center where multiple organizations can serve our most vulnerable neighbors.
