VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Interested in volunteering at

the Laramie Soup Kitchen?

The Laramie Soup Kitchen always welcomes new volunteers!

We are open from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and prefer volunteers stay for at least two hours.

There is no need to sign up (unless you are bringing a group)!
Just stop by whenever it is convenient for your schedule.

If you feel more comfortable scheduling a time, feel free to email us!

Want to bring a group of four or more?

To ensure that every person has a valuable experience
and that staff is not overwhelmed, please email
Volunteers@LaramieSoupKitchen.org

at least two weeks in advance.

Before you come in, please review the Rules and Responsibilities.
They will also be available in the kitchen.

Volunteers perform a variety of tasks including helping with food preparation, serving guests, helping maintain our space, organizing food donations, and more.

Volunteers are always encouraged to share the day's meal with our guests; lunch is served from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer regular weekend volunteer opportunities. Rarely, we will have a "Call to Action" for weekend volunteers which will be posted on our Facebook page.

Volunteering at the Soup Kitchen was a valuable way for me to connect with the community.

Tucker Bower

AmeriCorps Summer Associate

My son Sam has had a delightful time volunteering through the summer (if there were weekend work shifts he would continue into the school year) and we appreciate the opportunity you create for local kids to get out and contribute in a meaningful way in a fun and safe environment.

Jen Bonin

Mother of Sam Bonin, age 13.

The Soup Kitchen has been just as beneficial for me as my hours of service have been for them. Beyond just serving healthy, hot meals for those who come through the door, the soup kitchen has turned into a second home that is welcoming of people from all wells of life. What a gift!

Graduate Student at University of Wyoming
